SUSTAINED ENTHRONEMENT

It is very common to the natural mind to come to a conclusion that the devil is at work when things are not coming at an exact time as expected. This would not have bothered me if it were said of one who is not saved, however, anytime I hear such of a regenerated child of God, it breaks my heart. The Devil has been defeated; Jesus already took care of that (Col 2:15). The devil has no input in your life as a redeemed child. So, anything that goes on in your life is purely in the knowledge of the Father. So, why do we go through some very tough waiting times that seems endless?

One of the most difficult period in the time of a man entering into enthronement is the waiting period. There are four periods in the life of man but most of the times it is only three we are aware of. The making, waiting and enthronement periods; the last one which is not always thought of is the period of sustained enthronement. Not everyone who actually arrives at the stage of being enthroned remains enthroned.

The period of your making is targeted towards seeing you enter into that place of enthronement, while the period of waiting prepares you for sustained enthronement. Hence, the most important period in your journey to destiny is the waiting period.

In the process of waiting, many have lost the real essence of their purpose because it looked too long and they could not accommodate the waiting. This period is specifically designed to equip you to grow enough capacity to stay enthroned. The first Adam came into enthronement without any process of waiting after his making. It all happened just so fast and he gloriously became the CEO of the earth, but not too long he lost it. There was no sustained enthronement. When the second Adam (Jesus) came, He went through the process even though He is God Himself. The scripture made us to understand He learnt obedience by those things he suffered. (Heb 5:8).

At the stage his mother felt Jesus was ready and matured enough to begin manifesting, He still felt it wasn’t time. He was careful because He knew sustained enthronement is of more glory than enthronement. His mission was not just to become the king on earth, His reign is eternal.

Period of waiting comes with so much displeasure but it is a catalyst to pressure-proof you when you finally get to being enthroned. Even Jesus while on the journey to His heavenly enthronement felt God had forsaken Him. But, He knew it is for eternal glory, He stayed. Do you remember how people dared Him to save Himself if He could save others? Those were words provoking enough to change the face of creation. However, Jesus stayed through.

David is one character whose period of waiting came with so much temptation. He was already anointed king but could not step into the throne until the crowned King, Saul dies. David had every opportunity to slay the crowned king but he declined. His waiting period to becoming a crowned king from an anointed king was to prepare his heart for a sustained enthronement. Saul lost it along the way. David however didn’t miss his waiting class so he bagged the honors of a man after God’s own heart. That was the highest degree a man could attain in the old covenant.

Friend, I don’t know what you have been waiting for. Be it a marital partner, good employment, fruit of the womb, career breakthrough, and ministry enlargement, whatever it is rejoice, I say rejoice. It is all part of the plan so you can go beyond being enthroned to staying enthroned. Those who can’t wait for the throne don’t stay long on the throne. Remember the prodigal son? He could not wait for the throne, he took it and his enthronement was short-lived. He came back to the source and his utterance showed he was now ready to learn in waiting.

However, while waiting, don’t stop doing all that is needed; stay focused and faithful. The devil has no business in this, yes he is interested but this is a family business. You will share your testimony with me soon. Now that you know the reason for the waiting- sustained enthronement, enjoy while you wait.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Gal 6:9
