I
have heard a portion of the scripture used in different ways which I feel doesn’t
so align with its original intent and I thought it’s necessary to look into
this. We must move away from an unspecific Christian life where it seems we can’t
be sure of what God says about certain issues. As some will say it’s God who
knows those who serve Him. Such comments are not biblical. Here goes the
scripture:

More
The treatise of Jesus and His disciples travelling on a boat on the suggestion of Jesus is going to speak to us this week as recorded in the gospel of St Luke (8vs22). The scriptures records that Jesus suggested to His disciples they go on sail together, on the way across Jesus lay down for a nap and while He was sleeping the wind began to rise. A fierce storm developed that threatened to swamp them, and they were in real danger. These brothers were scared to death and all they could think of doing is going to wake the master. But, I presume they must have exhausted all options and they cried aloud lamenting that they were sinking. Jesus attended first to the situation before bringing out what needs to be known.

The Mix Up
The
topic of the true way to salvation has actually crop up many times and to my
surprise, some of our trusted elders make some “highly sensitive” statements
that calls for concern. Religion has really blocked the importance of the truth
of God’s word and this have successfully locked many outside of the gate to
salvation. I have asked from some believers on the diverse religion we have and
I hear such words as “we all serve the same God” so I could gladly do it the
way any of the religions of the world does it, since we all serve the same God.
Is this really true?

Permissive Will?
“It could be God’s permissive will or God’s perfect will”… I have heard this expression so many a times at different places and have just always wondered how true that can be. I had a discussion along making a choice with a friend who then mentioned this again and I immediately retorted because this has been strange to the teaching of the scriptures have known. Is there really anything like God’s permissive will in the scriptures?

THE COLONY
I discovered in
the place of prayer why it seems some people’s life is without troubles, even
though we all exist in the same country where the economy is in a mess. It’s
about two kingdoms, one government.
Colonialism was
first God’s idea. It is a practice of ruling other nations as colonies. He
brought Adam and Eve in His likeness and they had a colony here on earth where
He, the colonist comes around ones a while to check on His baby colony. Adam
was in the kingdom earth but in reality it was an extension of the Kingdom
heaven. God still ruled there. Adam was just a consular general. The image of
God is the constitution of heaven that became replicated by Adam on earth. Two
kingdoms but one government.

Kingdom Indicator
Friend,
I can see the Lord is drawing our heart closer to the Kingdom. It’s been
unveiling of one truth in relation to the kingdom for some weeks now. I sense
we need to be more conscious of Him even as everything in the world seems
becoming “tougher” by the day. Economic situation in many countries is leaving
untold hardship on the citizens, crime rate is on the increase, and terrorism
has become a global issue. All of these could bring the heart of man to a state
of confusion which could make the quietness needed for maximum engagement with
the Lord missing. I am beginning to see the reason He asked “…If the Son of Man
comes, will He find that faith on earth?” Luke 18vs8
I
had thought I was going to deal with the concept of righteousness but the Lord
just wants to cheer our heart this week to see into drawing nearer to Him. I
wrote on the Kingdom last week and a scripture there that made us see more
light into what the kingdom is will be our point of reference this week.
“For the kingdom
of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the
Holyghost” Rom14:17.
