FREQUENCY

I have heard a statement regarding how God speaks several times. The statement says God speaks all the time. And that it is like a radio frequency that we need to get connected to so we can hear.

Does God speak all the time?

Let’s start from the beginning...

Adam enjoyed the company of God in Eden. He had been established by the Word.

At this time, Adam had all the boldness and privilege to take decisions and act on behalf of God without God “speaking”. He didn’t need to tune to the frequency of God to know a dog looked like a dog to name it a dog because He was established by the frequency, the Word. You don’t need to tune your radio to the frequency of a radio station when your location is in the building of the radio station itself. You just listen in, direct. If you talk so loud your voice becomes what is being aired to others.

This was the case with Adam as He began to operate in the mind of God. So, God does not necessarily speak as it were all the time. God’s speaking is usually landmark-based. This means they are usually at a major phase in the journey of a man’s life. God had spoken to him once about the tree he should eat from and not eat from when he established man in the garden and that was it.

Now, let’s come to Jesus…

How many times did God speak to Jesus audibly that was documented? They were all at the major landmarks of Jesus’ earthly ministry; at his baptism, transfiguration, and before the crucifixion. At every other instance what He simply said at best was “I do what I see my Father do”. This means when you have fellowshipped, you are expected to know things that enable you to move without a seeming tuning because you are in tune.

No powerful person speaks all the time.

He has spoken already and He also speaks but His heart is already revealed to you in the pages of His word. Staying in the Word is staying in what God already said and you need not keep looking for frequencies.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things…” Heb 1:1-2

He has spoken to us by His Son through the Word. There are major landmarks of your life God does speak audibly however way you hear Him but He doesn’t speak every time in the description of a radio frequency as though there must always be something to hear. You’d run into errors if you are always finding a word.

Many of the “what is God saying” are what God already said, if we would commit ourselves to the Word.

I hope you get this.
