His Place of Rest 2 (Law vs Instruction)

I wrote last week on how to enter into His rest. The one and only way to this which I identified to be Grace: believing in the works of Jesus. I know overtime there is a challenge of comprehension at some quaters when that word grace is mentioned. In fact, there is more outrage when it is pitched against the law. I repeat again with all sense of humility, do's and don'ts won't launch you into His rest and that's just exactly the scripture.

"For it was through reading the scripture that I came to realize that I could never find God's favour by trying-and falling-to obey the laws. I came to realize that acceptance with God comes by believing in Christ" Gal2vs19(TLB)

I understand you are so cautious of being just without error. You want to stand clean, you just want to have that 'feeling' of strict obeisane to God.You want to see people around you looking heavenly at an instant look . You feel that message of grace could set people loose, you feel it won't curtail the excesses of man, so that "grace thing" doesn't go well with you. Friend, your sympathy for how God should be pleased does not change the method He seeks to be pleased.
"But now that Christ has come, we don't need those laws any longer to guard us and lead us to him"Gal3vs25

Am I saying because you are no longer under the law, you can do as you deem fit? Only those who received the one side of grace go with that knowledge. Grace is not just been free from the law, it is also been married to Jesus.

Laws are rules of conduct or procedure recognized by a community as binding or enforceable by authority. Laws are different from instructions. Laws guide the activities of people, it is binding on all. Laws will never launch you into His rest because it will keep exposing your inadequacies.
"What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, thou shalt not covet" Rom7vs7 (KJV)

Law is institutional. It is an established system.

Instructions on the other hand are case specifics. It is in diverse ways. Jesus came to introduce a new system breaking the institutional approach to God after He had come to have a feeling of life in the flesh. He brought grace working by the HolyGhost through instruction receipt on the spot. "As many as are led by the Spirit"- Instruction not Law. Jesus healed a blind man with a strange method; He spat on his eyes (Mark 8vs22). On a different day He healed another blind by just speaking healing to the man (Mark 10vs52). It is not a lay down way-Law, He does as He hears from the Father- Instruction. Jesus came to break the chain of institutionalism to create a one on one relationship. That a particular thing worked for you-probably you had an issue and fasted for three days and result came- does not make it a standard of worship- The only universal method in all is Faith.

Carving out a law from God's instruction does not guarantee you His rest. When you don't have laws to break, you get His rest and won't limit the workings of the Holy Ghost.
"I advise you to obey only the Holy Spirit instructions..."Gal5v16a (TLB)

(I recommend you read the first part if you havent via the home page)

As you go this week, let the Holy Spirit instruct you, and there you are in His rest.
