Kingdom Indicator

Friend, I can see the Lord is drawing our heart closer to the Kingdom. It’s been unveiling of one truth in relation to the kingdom for some weeks now. I sense we need to be more conscious of Him even as everything in the world seems becoming “tougher” by the day. Economic situation in many countries is leaving untold hardship on the citizens, crime rate is on the increase, and terrorism has become a global issue. All of these could bring the heart of man to a state of confusion which could make the quietness needed for maximum engagement with the Lord missing. I am beginning to see the reason He asked “…If the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth?” Luke 18vs8

I had thought I was going to deal with the concept of righteousness but the Lord just wants to cheer our heart this week to see into drawing nearer to Him. I wrote on the Kingdom last week and a scripture there that made us see more light into what the kingdom is will be our point of reference this week.

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holyghost” Rom14:17.

I see this scripture pointing us to what we can use as a measure of the kingdom. These three –righteousness, peace and joy- is the kingdom indicator. It is singular in three because it’s just a product of one (the Holyghost). You cant have one without the others, they are jointly released. This is given to us to measure if we are in the kingdom.

The kingdom of God began since Jesus, it is a process and not an event. Since Christ laid down His life, the kingdom became possible. The kingdom is where the will of God is done. It is physically impossible to have the kingdom on earth, this is why there is a Third Man of the Trinity made possible inside of man to ensure this spiritual reality. Until this happen to a man, you will only struggle and strife in order to do the will of God… when you struggle to do the will of God, it means the kingdom is yet to come in you.

The Lord foresaw how the world is today, He knew the issues of this world is capable of taking us off course to not seeing Him in the light of the spirit. What that scripture is saying is that the kingdom is not in the issues of this world. As long as you are in the world, there would be issues. Son, all these should not in any way cross the border to intrude on the faith you have in me. I have made provisions for you on the Kingdom. The kingdom is within you. The kingdom is not possible without the Holyghost. The interesting thing is, with the Holyghost, self-effort crumbles. He leads and you follow.

There may be troubles all around. You need to pay the bills, you might have been praying for the fruit of the womb, probably it’s a job you need, your health fails you each time…whichever the case may be, all of these are earthly affairs, having them now aren’t evidence of the Kingdom (though He has made provisions for all of those). I can guarantee you that after having all of these as you desire, another need showcases because desires of men are insatiable. The only indicator of the Kingdom in you is even in the midst of all of the troubles, you can feel the righteousness, peace and joy from within. They are not ordinary, they are products of the Holyghost. This means “I stay on God’s word (righteousness), Mind settled (Peaceful) and always excited (Joyful) not because of all the wealth I have gathered but in the possession of the Holyghost!

Can you sense righteousness, peace and joy in your deep even in the midst of all the troubles the world throws at you?  If yes, then you are in the kingdom. If you are not sure of this, then you don’t have the Holyghost established in you. You only know about the kingdom.

As you go this week, know that the Kingdom can’t be guaranteed without the Holyghost and you don’t line up activities for Him in relation to God. He knows Him better, let Him do the lead.
