Why change my name?

I have often heard people talk about names and the need to change the name they answer in order to be free from some form of curses or attack. It is believed that the name of a man has an impact on his destiny. Hence, there is the need for a name change. The dilemma of hovering around the need for a name change most of the time happen to new converts.

I know the proponents of this belief system have some bible references to that effect; hence, I would start by explaining the concept of name and its significance. In the old covenant it took a more spiritual dimension, names were not just given without an attachment to either an event, purpose or prophecy. In summary, a child is named according to an image the parents want the child to conform to. So, names are a representation of who a child is to become.

Based on the above knowledge I would do an analysis of some characters that are used in relation to change of names. Abram was carrying a name that doesn’t show who he was meant to be. The image he was to conform to was not reflected in the name he answered. Abram was prepared by God to be the father of many nations; he needed to be conscious of this, which explains his re-naming. When he hears the name Abraham, despite his age that seems not in favour of the image behind the name, faith is birthed to his heart to believing it- the father of many nations.

Polluted Water

Something saddening is happening at the moment to the church of God. The scriptures used water to symbolize the spirit of God in some cases which could also mean the WORD. Now, there is a problem; it seems the water is experiencing pollution.  The scripture is quite apt, warning us not to be ignorant of the devices of the devil.

The world system is corrupt by nature but man has the capacity not to yield to the dictates of the world system as a result of the offer Jesus made to ensure the nature of man changes and becomes in contrast to that of the world system. As such, man is expected to impact on the world system and not the world impacting on the regenerated man.

Footstoolship

There is a portion of the scriptures I have always heard and known so well but not really gotten to know the in-depth. However, the Rhema flew out of the Logos just over the week. It gave me another perspective of obtaining confidence in God. The scripture describes the earth as the Lord’s footstool.

The heaven is my throne, says the Lord through his prophets, and earth is my footstool…Acts7vs49a

More

The treatise of Jesus and His disciples travelling on a boat on the suggestion of Jesus is going to speak to us this week as recorded in the gospel of St Luke (8vs22). The scriptures records that Jesus suggested to His disciples they go on sail together, on the way across Jesus lay down for a nap and while He was sleeping the wind began to rise. A fierce storm developed that threatened to swamp them, and they were in real danger. These brothers were scared to death and all they could think of doing is going to wake the master. But, I presume they must have exhausted all options and they cried aloud lamenting that they were sinking. Jesus attended first to the situation before bringing out what needs to be known.

Rivers.

This week’s dose is a very concise one but which should speak a lot to our souls. I have been reading through this scriptures but it jumped out to me as if I had never gone through it before. It breeds hope, faith and life into the heart of a man who chooses to live for God. And the scripture made me know my life is so settled because I have been blessed beforehand.  The scripture reads thus:

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the way of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in this law doth he meditate day and night.and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”Ps1vs1-4

Lighted Light

Are you in a situation that you just need to hear God? I mean you wish He’d just speak directly to your ears. This could be concerning a pressing need, but the more you keep on keeping on, it seems no clearance and you are almost been pushed to going through “other” means to actualize this.

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness.” Matt6:22-23

That scripture above is full of mysteries which in a very simple way will be broken down for you to feed on this week. The eye represents the light of the body. The eye here is a symbol of your heart. The heart is open and receptive, it is inside of it activities go on. This is why the scriptures says “Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life” Prov 4vs23.

Kingdom Indicator

Friend, I can see the Lord is drawing our heart closer to the Kingdom. It’s been unveiling of one truth in relation to the kingdom for some weeks now. I sense we need to be more conscious of Him even as everything in the world seems becoming “tougher” by the day. Economic situation in many countries is leaving untold hardship on the citizens, crime rate is on the increase, and terrorism has become a global issue. All of these could bring the heart of man to a state of confusion which could make the quietness needed for maximum engagement with the Lord missing. I am beginning to see the reason He asked “…If the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth?” Luke 18vs8

I had thought I was going to deal with the concept of righteousness but the Lord just wants to cheer our heart this week to see into drawing nearer to Him. I wrote on the Kingdom last week and a scripture there that made us see more light into what the kingdom is will be our point of reference this week.

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holyghost” Rom14:17.

Violence

The scripture is meant to be a tool to equip you to becoming just as He desires- the exact image of His dear son. This is the essence of seeing the scriptures in the light of what it truly means. The Lord knows the truth is hidden is why He says “Ye shall know the truth”. It unfolds. There are things yet unknown, even though He is the truth Himself.

Let’s look into another truth this week that will take us deeper in fellowship with Him. I have heard people say the kingdom of God is quite difficult to make and some feel only God knows those that serve Him. To make it to the kingdom then requires hardened effort of a man. This means it’s a pretty difficult adventure. And I must tell you, have seen this result into zeal without knowledge. In order to support this view, the scripture is made reference to. Let’s look into that scripture:

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force” Matt11vs12.

Joy it

The year is finally at the tail end. I know you had expectations, wishes and desires that topped your list since the beginning of the year. Some actually have become testimony and some seems as if God is not giving ears to them- and they seem to be the tough ones. Disappointments, broken heart, failed promises and all of it gather to make it seem as if you are off the track.

Simulation

This week, I will take you on a brief intellectual journey. I want you to see what God really had in mind when He allows some things you seem to feel horrible about happen to you.

There is this concept that can be found in the world of research. It’s called “Simulation”. Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system overtime. The act of simulating something first requires that a model be developed; this model represents the key characteristics or behavior of the selected physical or abstract system or process. The model represents the system itself, whereas the simulation represents the operation of the system over time. (Source: Wikipedia)

In simpler term, simulation paints the picture of the real situation and likely events that could take place. A simulation is a process of creating a likelihood of that which is going to be. Something almost similar in order to be able to address the real situation when it comes up.

Now, I have come to discover simulation is an instrument used by God for His children before sending them to the field. Many mistake their simulated environment as the real field and end up groaning in guilt. In a simulated environment, casualty is permitted so as to avoid casualty in the real field. And the second thing is not learning from your simulated environment can lead to casualty on the real field.

Quit the Request

I want to thank God for this vision started just some months back and it’s more than a year doing this for God. My vision is seeing Christ established in you. Uncovering every long standing misconception of the word towards innovating your mind to see the truth of the gospel practically manifesting in you.

Friend, there is something important the Lord wants from us this last month of the year 2015. I was meditating and it came to me that this is the needful, it might not be what you want but I can tell you authoritatively that it is what you need. If you are a regular reader, then you are already a member of IR.

David said in the scriptures that he wouldn’t give to God what cost him nothing. This shows a sense of understanding and devotion. It isn’t about what he is giving but the purpose of the giving. Even though it isn’t convenient but I will give it to Him, this is what separates Him from every other man. He is God. No wonder David was described as a man after God’s heart.

The PREFACE

In 2013, I released the book titled “Your Domain” which exposes how man can understand his place in God and doing all the God way. A young man after reading this book came back to me filled with anger in his spirit, hungry for righteousness. He asked me if he could disregard the entire result of an annual exam he had written because it wasn’t totally his self-effort. He wanted to go sit for another exam where he could be proud of God as the one behind it. Only one thing happened to this young man; the book opened his eyes to the “domain” where he rightly belong, and in that domain sin is an alien.

 Let me introduce to you the preface of my new book titled “I am Not a Sinner”;

in Your Head.

The environment we find ourselves has a lot to do in our output, reaction and perception of life. Depression is a product of this. Many times I see people depressed and the truth is nothing existing is the cause of the depression. Are you depressed?

Worry, anxiety are all product of the head in response to what the environment gives out. Most of the time a long existing way of life that has almost become generally acceptable. I see many address the way they feel to God accusing the devil or some strange spirit who are disturbing their peace. You get so disappointed because it seems God isn’t even listening to all of your complaints. Perhaps what you regard to as a problem doesn’t even exist.

The devil is not omnipresent. So limited in operation. All the devil does is roam the street and seek places to abode. It can only be in a place at a time. In fact, most of the time, that devil hasn’t had time for you in the last three months. But, I am sure you hold the devil responsible for that delay, pain and anguish. The problem isn’t the devil, it is in your head. Man is a tripartite being with a Spirit, Soul and Body. Your head connects with your mind which exist in the soul. What is been processed in the mind is what enters the head. Your Spirit receives from His Spirit but your mind will need to go through a process of training to be able to listen to the spirit and not what goes on in the head which is a product of sight.
