Simulation

This week, I will take you on a brief intellectual journey. I want you to see what God really had in mind when He allows some things you seem to feel horrible about happen to you.

There is this concept that can be found in the world of research. It’s called “Simulation”. Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system overtime. The act of simulating something first requires that a model be developed; this model represents the key characteristics or behavior of the selected physical or abstract system or process. The model represents the system itself, whereas the simulation represents the operation of the system over time. (Source: Wikipedia)

In simpler term, simulation paints the picture of the real situation and likely events that could take place. A simulation is a process of creating a likelihood of that which is going to be. Something almost similar in order to be able to address the real situation when it comes up.

Now, I have come to discover simulation is an instrument used by God for His children before sending them to the field. Many mistake their simulated environment as the real field and end up groaning in guilt. In a simulated environment, casualty is permitted so as to avoid casualty in the real field. And the second thing is not learning from your simulated environment can lead to casualty on the real field.

One man that I love so much in the scripture is Samson. He was simulated, thought he didn’t really get the mystery, he ended up being a casualty of his simulated environment on the field. There has been a lot of misconception on the personality of Samson. I hear many condemn his act of marrying a lady not from the Jewish nation as to be against the command of God.

This is very untrue, the Lord sent Samson to this Philistine woman, not any form of lust on the part of Samson. It was just his simulated environment. Let me show you how Samson did not in any way go outside of God’s will:

“Why don’t you marry a Jewish girl? They asked. Why must you go and get a wife from these heathen philistines? Isn’t there one girl among all the people of Israel you could marry? But Samson told his father, ‘She is the one I want. Get her for me’. His father and mother didn’t realize that the LORD WAS BEHIND THE REQUEST, for God was setting a trap for the Philistines, who at that time were the rulers of Israel” Judges14v2-4

What the Lord had in mind was beyond destroying the Philistines at that present moment, but, a future total defeat. Samson had to deal with a situation of keeping secrets with this his simulated environment- the Philistine woman- to be able to stand the real experience ahead to be victorious having mastered the act of keeping secrets. What transpired between Samson and the woman was to let him see the outcome of knowing how to keep secret from a woman. This lady lured him to reveal the secret of his riddle which he did and the next event isn’t a good story (Judges 14v17).

The essence of simulation is to give you the exact knowledge of how to deal with the real situation. Samson missed this. So, when the real field experiment came and he had to deal with the issue of revealing a top secret, he could not stand. The essence of the simulated experiment is to make you strong and prepared for the real field.

Marrying a woman from Philistine wasn’t the problem but his inability to understand she was his simulated environment. he forgot too quick about how the Philistine woman lured him to revealing a secret. The field experiment- Delilah- came and just same experience (letting out a secret) brought him to the hands of his enemies. That situation you keep regretting and ask yourself “how did I get myself into this?” “But, I thought I was sure of this”. Some people even say it to your face: “he missed it”, “how on earth did he think that was God’s will for him”? Friend! He wants you to know now that it is a simulation.

You have your field work ahead where you will be faced with the real thing. Learn from it not to be like the case of Samson. It’s not meant to tear you, it’s to prevent from being torn.

Everything happening now is to build capaciry for the next big thing. Thank God for those uninteresting past, occurrences and events. He has a big plan for you!

Happy New Month.
Be Innovated.
