Plague Transfer cont'd

I began to explore on the belief that curses could reign from biological parents through to their offspring who have experienced the new birth last week. The exploration opened with a check on the basis for this belief which is usually backed up with the words of mourning that was recorded in the book of Lamentations. Contextually, it was laid bare in the article how that scripture no longer hold sway in the life of the Israelite (children of God). If you missed that, please go back and read here before proceeding:   http://innovationresort.blogspot.com.ng/2017/10/plague-transfer.html

Having looked at the familiar, let us proceed to the unfamiliar.
From the beginning, man lost the legal right to be called God’s children as a result of submitting to the word of the serpent; the Israelite earned the title “God’s children” conditionally. Before this unfortunate event took place, man had every right to see God, talk to Him, make decisions on earth without a second thought on if they were wrong in any way- they had the mind of God.

Immediately man failed God by believing the account of the serpent, man lost the right stand he had with God. What this meant was that God could no longer trust man with His domain. God’s mind that gave man all the direct image of His choice on every issue had been corrupted.

The original plan of God was for man to reproduce the image of Him (God) on earth, however, this became impossible as the light of man was already darkened. By extension, this resulted into the pollution of the earth, hence, the scripture that by one man, sin came into the world. Man became open to curses which principally came from God and not some enchantment. There is no curse as terrible as being cut off from God.

To salvage the situation, God the Father sent Jesus to the world to die for the sin of man and by believing in the power of redemption man can be saved. Now, at that point is where the new birth took place. Two things happened: you died and a new you resurrected that the devil is not familiar with. The only point of contact of the devil to man was the portion of his (devil) input into man from the beginning which Christ has undone by the reason of Christ’s death and resurrection.

At receiving Jesus, there are changes in all areas of your life. It is a spiritual reality. When a man gives his life to Christ, there is a change in the spiritual authority over his life. It means renouncing the citizenship of a particular kingdom for another; no matter what is done in the kingdom left behind, it holds no authority over you because you are now answerable to another head.

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” Col 1:13

Now, let us assume there is a curse in your father’s house that has been evident over the years.  You are from family X, it is very much impossible for that curse to come on me because I belong to family Y; I do not carry the blood that flows in your family which the curse operates on. So also, as soon as you come into Jesus, something happened to your blood which the curse recognizes and can take advantage of.

Consequently, you are no longer in the kingdom where darkness has authority and jurisdiction. No matter how thick the evil in your father’s house may be, since the only thing that can make you respond (the blood) has been replaced with that of Christ, any call on you is only an exercise in futility.

Curses are spiritual, so, it definitely does not operate on physical blood. Jesus’ blood becomes yours at the moment of your new birth, Jesus shares His brotherhood with you and makes you an heir of God. This means you are now a son of God in the Spirit. It is not a deal that a curse is running through your family but it becomes a problem when you feel the curse can still run on Jesus’ blood that you now carry.

“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” Eph 2:19

If the curses of your father’s house can afflict Jesus and defeat God, then, I humbly accept it has power over you. However, if this is impossible, no curse can be transferred to you.

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God” Col 3:3

What about those who are genuinely in Christ but still see the symptoms of a generational curse in their life? Since you came to Jesus it has been erased, it cannot cross that line, however, you need to grow to see this for yourself and take your victory. It is the truth you know that can work for you.

“But remember this, that if a father dies and leaves great wealth for his little son, that child is not much better off than a slave until he grows up, even though he actually owns everything his father had” Gal 4:1

Your growing up is in studying the scriptures to see what the new birth offers you. Too many people have believed so much in the tales of the devil and this keeps them trapped. There is no sustaining deliverance outside of God’s word. Believing what God calls you is setting Him up to stand by His word.

Friend, in this kingdom, curses do not reign, ignorance only gives the appearance of curses a voice. Get rooted in God’s word.
