LIGHT-STEP

I do hope you have been working on my messages to you since the beginning of the year: it solely centres on having an understanding of what God would want you do at each stage of your life in the year. This is not just about a theme for the year, but, a theme for each hurdle that comes your way in the year- knowing what to do, when to, and how to do it. It’s beyond your pastor’s diligence to his duty, but your personal effort to search the inner-light at every dark point in the year. I am also taking this message to practice with all seriousness, it is to everyone.

Having dwell so much on that, I want to assume you have an expectation already by now, as inspired by the Holy Ghost within you. I mean there should be a word you are standing on, like I have heard from different persons confessing it’s their year of new height, breakthrough, new dawn etc. Please I need you to hold on to what you sense God is having for you in the year religiously. However, be well informed that with every delivery, there is always a contraction; it takes process.

My message to you this week is to ensure that by the end of the year when you take a review, you can confidently come to a conclusion that at the beginning God gave you a word and you can testify of its accurate manifestations in your life. Prophecies are not meant to emotionally psyche you!

Have you observed how a pregnant woman look forward to the delivery of her baby by taking some steps towards the eventual day of delivery? She goes for antenatal and engages in some exercises. There is a part of God seeing the baby is formed; there is also a cooperative part of the woman to ensure the delivery is safe and less life-threatening. This is called plan and preparation, summed up in the word, STEP.

Irrespective of what the Lord has told you or the word you have received to exercise your faith on, there are steps you need to take in the direction of the prophecy you are expecting to become manifest. The expectant mother takes step in ensuring she rests more, exercise more, eat healthy while the husband knows his responsibility is about to increase, so, he does well in improving on his savings, venturing into what will increase his income and ensuring all necessary for a comfortable environment for the child being expected is in place. Two people expecting the same thing; exclusively different steps. You don’t receive God’s word and sit.

The young Joseph received enough light that brought undoubtable assurance to his spirit that he was going to be a leader and would shine in same. The first thing he did was speaking it, even when it was not comfortable with his brothers. This was followed by his brothers trading him off. His journey then officially started as a servant in Potiphar’s house. You must understand that his recognition by Potiphar as a leader who he (Potiphar) could hand over his household to wasn’t just because there was a promise; Joseph kept taking steps in agreement with what God had told him- leadership. He was preparing for the big day.

The same thing repeated itself in the prison, Joseph kept acquiring certifications in leadership. He got his first degree in Potiphar’s house; second degree in the prison as the prison warder awarded him the chief controller on inmates; he finally landed a doctorate with the chief butler who announced his thesis to the Pharaoh. STEPS.

What are the steps you need to start taking along the line of where you see God taking you? It won’t happen all of God, He needs you. Gehazi wasn’t prepared, Saul wasn’t either, and they both lost it.

Even if the Lord has told you it is your year of harvest, what are you planting? You need to get on doing something. It could be getting a certification, staying committed to a course, service, starting a training, organizing some programs, commitment to reading books etc. Labour!

All I am saying is get yourself equipped, so the word of God can fall on a fertile ground, which is a ground that is ready and can produce.

Hope you understand this?

Till next week!

Be Innovated
