Light-Setup

There is a very hard truth you need to understand in line with what I have been sharing with you since the beginning of the year 2018. This is important so that you can stay emotionally healthy on your way to your big break. This would be the last of the series on “Light” as you must have observed all of my messages to you this month has been on “Light”.

Remember I told you from the beginning of the year that it is the year of Light? I have explained to you what this light means: the direction or word of prophecy you have received from the Lord at the beginning of the year concerning your life.

I have shared with you some basic truths on this: how locating the light on your inside is the way to having a beautiful year; I showed you how you should take steps in preparation for the word of God over your life- plan and preparation; and, when the prophecy is taking longer than expected, what you should do is continual confession, believing.

This week, I want you to know when there is a prophecy, it could require going down (figuratively) sometimes in order to blossom. Things not in consonance with the prophecy may begin to happen that may make you doubt the prophecy but, hold on. Remember how Father Abraham was told he would be a father of many nations? Only for years to keep rolling on until his wife entered the stage of menopause- when it is naturally impossible for a woman to conceive- and no sound of a baby in their home. However, it eventually happened according to God’s word.

Joseph began to see visions of how great he was going to become. He saw it so clearly how he was going to be a star and rule over his siblings. The light was clear and, this calls for joy; it sounds like a life that was going to be exceptionally beautiful and colourful. However, almost immediately after receiving this series of prophecies, he found himself in Potiphar’s house as a slave. Naturally, anyone would have laughed at the young boy if they had access to the prophecy he had always proclaimed. It looked like going down- a disappointment, heart-break, a failure, but, it was a Light-Setup.

David was innocently going about his father’s business, tending the flocks. The Lord saw a vessel that could lead His people in him. Prophet Samuel came to look for David in his father’s house, and, David was anointed king over Israel. Not too long, he fought a battle of the Israelite, obviously the anointing was now on him, defeating Goliath who had threatened the Israeli army for days. Everyone envied David. The king invited him to the palace, I felt the prophecy was becoming whole. Alas! The anointed man spent the next 15-20 years of his life on the run as the king tried to kill him. It looked so opposite to what he had been anointed for. He went through a high level depression and pain through the years running for survival. It was all part of the plan, a light-setup.

Jesus had an excellent ministry. He was moving from place to place doing miracles and men loved Him. His disciples were growing more in the confidence of having Him around. They thought He was going to rule as the king of the Jews physically. He had told them about His Father’s house, angels who were at His command, and they saw all of the demonstration of power. However, when the time for the fulfilment of the prophecy over His life came, He had to go down. He was beaten, embarrassed and, killed. This was strange to the natural human mind. Why would the saviour of the world just release himself to such ridicule? It was part of the plan, it was a light-setup which got the devil off his seat over the life of men who now come to Jesus.

You may have started the year with a job loss, disappointment, loss of a loved one or something not so desirable and you wonder whether the word you received or confessing is anything to believe; it is part of the plan. Such questions like “where is God?” could come up on this journey to seeing your prophecy come to reality, do not fret, it’s all part of the plan as long as you remain inside of Him.

Do not be discouraged and do not try to skim your way out of what is meant to prepare you. Sarah skimmed a way out, it became a thorn on her flesh.  Imagine if Joseph had escaped from Potiphar’s house? Or Jesus refusing to be crucified? Just imagine. It’s all a light-setup! Don’t stop believing.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, “says the Lord. And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine” Isaiah 55:8

We win.

Have a blessed week.
