Bro Joe.

Last week I wrote on Egypt, describing how it is not naturally a place of slavery. Egypt is a good land, your purpose is what defines what a land turns out to be at any point in time. It is just as selling ice block in winter, you will record less sales. It isn’t about going for a deliverance but a time to shift.

Let’s use the life of Joseph who I will refer to as bro. Joe here as a model to innovate our mind this week. He is a man who the Lord had great plan for. He represented the sustenance of Israel. The Lord didn’t keep His plans from Bro. Joe, he saw it quite well that he was going to be a leader to every other member of his family. God didn’t keep this plan from him, and you can be sure, bro Joe was quite up and high, looking forward to when this vision will become as real as the breaking of the day.

After the dream, the next event took bro Joe by surprise. His next place of assignment was in the prison. From his vision to the prison. The vision he saw was that of liberation, leadership and affluence but on the contrary prison became the reality before our dear bro Joe. Prison isn’t just being locked behind the bars, it starts from being held by a power that seems superior from living as you so desire. A limitation that just seems taking you away from where you think you are supposed to be. That man at the pool of Bethesda was there for 38yrs hoping one day he would be healed but all his hope was locked in the realm of “how I wish” for that years until the real Man came to his rescue.



This was what characterized the life of bro Joe immediately after a vision to save the whole of Israel. A man meant to lead found himself taking up the assignment of a prestigious house boy. You can be sure he is so cute and brilliant at serving, that his master’s wife felt she could have a taste of him. Bro Joe! This woman didn’t have an idea of who she was dealing with. I can imagine his thought pattern at this period of his life. If you say he would be depressed, you should not be wrong but I can assure you from what the scriptures showed to us, he was always up and good. This is why at every point he was appointed the head even at prison level.

If you are opportune to be close to bro Joe now, I am sure you will recommend that he needs deliverance. Only one thing bro Joe needed and he had that all through; this saw him through to where he was destined to be. He carried the PRESENCE OF GOD. This was so much that everywhere he got to it was almost physically obvious. Can you imagine a policeman giving the security of the police station to who is supposed to be a criminal? The prison guard handed over the administration of the prison to bro Joe.

I was in a meeting and got so uncomfortable with the way people trooped out for prayers because they believe their glory is been frustrated by the devil. You must understand that what you believe is powerful to dictating the channel of your life. Friend, casting of demons and a constant prayer life of “breaking” the head of the devil haven’t gotten you out of the prison and I wonder when you are going to stop that. Generations before you have been “breaking” that guy’s head and am surprised you are still on the breaking process. The head is already under Jesus’ feet, all you need is get into Jesus and automatically the head is under your feet. This is the method bro Joe used. He never bothered what or who could be responsible for the situation he found himself- it was God’s agenda anyway- he was so much in God that he could only see through God’s eyes. You have spent too much time knowing about the devil than knowing the one who saves.

Do you have the prophecy of God upon your life, have you seen what God planned to do through your or do you just feel you have something great inside of you but you are not there yet, in fact it seems you are on the other side of the road? You are a bro Joe!

As long as you are a bro Joe in this generation, one who is having a great destiny to fulfil, there is a process to performance. He didn’t just become the prime minister, there are processes that might not be palatable. It is an insult when you carry Jesus and still believe the devil is the one behind the turbulent moment. Don’t celebrate the devil! Bro Joe so trust in God that he didn’t care what happened and God was there caring for him. That Jesus is in your boat doesn’t mean there won’t be a storm.

Peradventure you have not fully dedicated your life to Jesus, the danger is you are not guaranteed to leave the prison. Can you please use this moment to ask Jesus into your heart? Confess your sins. He shed His blood for this purpose, just for you. He loves you and wants you with Him. By believing He is the Son of God who died to cleanse you, you are saved. Amen

Don’t mix it up, don’t lose your peace, that situation isn’t of the devil. God is in the midst of it.
As you go this week, would you just praise God continually as a bro Joe will do, perhaps your promotion is tied there, when the Joy of God is felt in you.
