To You

Yes! I am an unrepentant preacher of Grace. It is just the whole essence of the Gospel. I must say if you want to render the Gospel powerless take Grace out of it because therein lies faith and love.

I also have come to realize how much this “Grace” can be misconstrued and made to look like a liberty to exercise the superfluous. I wrote in my book “I am not a Sinner” that it is a strange thing for a mango tree to produce banana and when queried about that only for the mango tree to reply that it doesn’t matter. You can’t claim Grace and your act remains questionable.

I write to you; young bible scholar, minister and passionate Sons.

I know you receive fresh revelations from God and we are no longer in the era of Law but Grace and that is quite awesome. Grace have given birth to truth and it has made us all equal before God that we now have access to Him, hence the powerful revelations you receive and some call it “Present Truth” as the case may be. I just feel to share this scripture I know you love to quote with you.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” Rom 8vs1

This is one of the most powerful scriptures Grace delivered to us, but I discovered it is only the preceding part that is mostly stressed. I have quoted it myself a number of time without taking a closer look. I have been free from the law of sin and death so no condemnation against me because Christ paid it all. Only to see later that this didn’t end just at Christ’s assignment… “No condemnation… for those who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit”

There is a proof of your being in Christ, it is not by quoting that scriptures, it is by walking after the Spirit. How much this latter part is silenced because it has to do with submitting to what Christ started? That was what James referred to as faith without work.

I see a generation where Grace has given you the liberty to disrespect the elderly, the knowledge of Grace as it is so called have made elders a tool of scorn in your hands. You are so swift to react to every message because of the fresh revelation you have received and innocently throw tantrums at the fathers of old in the faith. Even Jesus didn’t destroy the existing system because He wanted to establish the new one. His works proved to be powerful in itself.

In fact I see some just waiting to hear the fathers talk in order to let them know there is a superior knowledge now under the guise of grace. You are truly in Christ, you know Him, but may be drifting along the path of the flesh innocently ignorantly. I wonder what you would have done if you were Aquila and Priscilla seeing Apollos preaching passionately about baptism of John when Jesus had already been glorified. Whereas the scripture referred to him as a mighty man in the scripture. (Act 18vs24).

As a Christian, young bible scholar, spirit filled brethren, minister are you working after the Spirit? How do you know if you are?

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” Col 5vs22

These are what the spirit produces, so if you claim to be in Christ and these above have not accompanied your message and new life, there is a need for a quick check. No wonder the author of the book of Galatians went ahead to say:
“If we live in the spirit (being in Christ), let us also walk in the Spirit” Gal 5vs25 (Emphasis mine)

Knowledge puffs up and it leads to vain glory seeking when not gracefully tamed.

Friend, you can’t represent the Lord with the virtue of the lost. Thread the path of humility.

As one who have given your life to Christ, can you find those fruits you are to walk in operational in your life?

  2. It is quite different having the Spirit and walking in it. Demas was with the disciples but the scriptures recorded that he loved the world. This is why Paul encouraged that we submit our bodies as a living sacrifice, as that is our reasonable service. Its about what you yield to. Having the Holy Spirit doesn't mean wrong thoughts wont whisper to you. Which do you yield to?
