There had been several prophecies on the coming of a Saviour; the one who will save mankind from sin, guilt and shame. The prophecy given of the coming Saviour was so sure and true; however, the Saviour did not just come to the earth without paying a price.
That there was a prophecy already establishing Him as the savior of the world didn’t compel Him to stay idle. He went about doing His Father’s business. He did the works required to bring Him into full manifestation of the prophecy. At least, He had to die to save.
So, I ended last week’s message with the promise of sharing with you this week on the key to seeing the prophecy fulfilled in your life as I unveiled last week. The Psalmist asked God for what made all the things that looked so impossible become so easy for the Israelites which is what the Lord will be doing in your life this year too. The response to the question is the key for you to handle the year successfully and with outburst of testimonies by the time the year draws to a close.
“What’s wrong, Red Sea that made you cut yourself in two? What happened, Jordan River, to your waters? Why were they held back? Why mountains, did you skip like rams? Why, little hills, like lambs?
These questions are just as asking yourself: “how would that impossible situation in my life this year become possible?” You think through it in your head, how you have dealt with same thing for months and there is no rational explanation for a way out. Understanding the answer to the question above gives you the key. The key is meant to help you stay in faith. Without faith, the supernatural becomes a struggle to deliver.
Now to the answer!
“Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, the God of Jacob” V7
Glory to God! What the Red Sea, Jordan, mountains and hills saw that made them disappear wasn’t the Israelites in the real sense of it. If we were to do a justification of why the miraculous should happen, it could not have been because of the Israelites, as it is obvious that they were unfaithful, stubborn and rebellious for such a supernatural event to take place in their midst. So, you may also think about your inadequacies and become fearful on how to make the most of the year. That is not the way of the Lord. All you need is the key!
These impossibilities saw the “Presence” of the Lord and couldn’t wait for the Israelites to come. The presence of the Lord was with them. As rebellious as they were, the presence of the Lord broke protocols for them. So, don’t allow the devil cheat you to missing these blessings by concentrating on yourself and your inadequacies. You are adequate in Christ.
This is the key to having those grounds broken this year- His Presence. You must never at any time be so full of yourself or pressured to stepping out of the presence. It would be equal to bowing out of grace.
The Israelites could have actually not entered into the miraculous if they didn’t have a Moses who understood the acts of God, because they were not conscious of the presence of God even though He was always there with them. They were always thinking about going back to Egypt because their understanding was limited. So, it is not just about carrying the presence of God but being conscious of it.
You remember the account of the Syrian Army coming for the Prophet Elisha and his protégée, Gehazi? (2King 6:16-18). Gehazi began to shiver because he was not conscious of the presence that was with them. He wondered how they could escape the onslaught of the verse army of the Syrian King.
If Elisha was not there to help him come to see the presence, the army of the King would have messed him up. It is a year to be conscious of the Presence you carry. By virtue of New Birth, you carry it, but beyond that, be conscious of it, daily.
His presence makes the adversaries obey your word of command. You cannot afford to joke with carrying the conscious presence of God this year. There would be challenges to question what you carry, definitely, but that is what will give birth to the Red Sea running miracles in your life.
Be “consciously conscious” of His presence as you journey through the year.
You are breaking grounds!
