LEGAL DRAINAGE

It’s my first word to you this year and it is amazing getting to have my pen and paper again to show you things to help your journey on the path to victory as we scale the year.

I hope the year has been good to you. It has started with me on a very excellent note. Like I said in my last message to you in the year 2019, this year 2020 is about delivery. So much has been said about you and it is becoming like a motivational speech year in year out; this year is actually about activation if you can understand the times and discern it appropriately. However, there is a major tool the devil has launched to deter you from this manifestation and that is what I have come to show you this week.

I call it legal drainage!

There are experiences we go through in life that we come to the conclusion ourselves that we have truly made mistakes and messed up. This kind of experiences when thought about brings some kind of pain, hurt or loss of energy. It drains you off the strength of what is to come. Yes! It is true you messed up, the feeling of pain is legal, very justifiable, and this is a tool the devil has planted to stop the birthing of what is to come as you will naturally be drained from your source of strength; It’s either prayer becomes uninteresting, studying of the word becomes tiring or fellowship with brethren now makes you feel uncomfortable.

While Adam and Eve were in the garden, they never understood they were already like God. They failed by disobeying God’s word, they fell short of God’s glory. At that instance, man began to feel sorry for himself and as a result of that he thought in his mind that he was no longer worthy before God or deserving of His love. He sewed leaves to cover his shame and stayed away. He was drained of all the strength in him. Imagine who would usually have a fun-filled meeting with God now having to hide behind the trees.

The experience was a legal drainage that Adam and Eve experienced which the devil orchestrated to stop them from the glory they carried. Even though it was legal, there was still the place of God’s abounding mercy and the Father made clothes of animal skin for them. He covered their nakedness while He went on with the assignment of total restoration.

Sometimes this comes in the way of justifiable incapability. You remember the man by the pool of Bethesda? He had been by the pool for 38 years waiting for an answer but had come to a conclusion that he could never be healed because he had nobody to carry him. This was a legal drainage. Truly he had no one and there was no way he could reach out to the water when the Angel comes to trouble the water before anyone else does. He was very correct. This drained all of the capacity to receive what was to come in him so much so that Jesus who is in charge of the angels who does the stirring of water came to him and he told Jesus he could not be healed. This is a mental state that one has legal proofs for.

“One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew how long he had been ill, he asked him, ‘would you like to get well?’ ‘I can’t’, the sick man said, for I have no one to help me into the pool at the movement of the water. While I am trying to get there, someone else always gets in ahead of me”…John 5:5-6

It is so amazing he was there at the pool but never with the thought of getting well as a result of credible and justifiable reasons. He had tried for a few times and was drained from the fact before him.

Legal drainage takes different shapes; it could be from your past experience that makes you feel undeserving of a blessing from God or due to some conditions which seem too late for you to change. God definitely knew Adam had eaten from the fruit but still called on him. He also called on the man by the pool of Bethesda knowing he had been there for 38years; all He wants is you saying “here I am” just as Prophet Eli taught Samuel to respond. Don’t be caught making excuses from being blessed by the thoughts planted by the devil even though they are legal.

Friend, yes, it is true you made a mistake; didn’t do one thing or the other right and have credible reasons why it may be too late for you; but much more, there is GRACE and that is what will deliver to you what this season has got in stock. Block the legal drainage with a song of GRACE and MERCY.

“No, dear brothers, I am still not all I should be but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead…” Phil 3:13

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK:
Lord, I receive strength to see myself as you see me and I receive grace and mercy to move ahead.

Have a blessed week.
