SECRET TO DOING EXPLOIT

I was listening to a man of God I revere so much and he spoke on something that struck me, which I saw to be the key to living a life of exploit. I have actually read the scriptures that spoke to it many times but never had a revelation of it in the exact way he described it.

This week, I want to share with you the secret of living a life of exploit.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be faint.” Isa 40:31

From the above scriptural verse, it is clear that the key to a life of exploit is waiting upon the Lord. Anyone who is able to do this accurately will experience renewal, mounting up, and no experience of weariness and will not be faint at any point in time. And these are about what we deal with as humans. The striving daily to make wave in life, the depression that comes from failed attempts at what we call success and the urge to quit when it seem things aren’t going the way we intend.

So, in a summarized form, to live above all of the obstacle that life can throw at you, you must master the act of waiting on God as a believer. The crux of the matter will then be what exactly is it to wait on God and how to achieve this.

This concept has received many interpretations over the years which the dominant belief has been that it is all about locking oneself in a secluded place, fasting and praying, especially when one is hoping to receive a thing from the Lord. So it is common to hear such question as “have you waited on God?” This has been my view also as regards this until I encountered this truth which I then discovered has been the secret to the entire exploit I have recorded over the years without really taking cognizance of it.

Let’s use the scenario of a waiter at a hotel. Whenever you visit a hotel, the waiter is meant to wait on you. What the waiter does isn’t to be there expecting you to make things available to him or her; it is the other way round. The waiter comes to you to ensure he/she gets an order of all that you want. The waiter has the responsibility of ensuring you are being served well and to your demand and comfort. And usually, the way the guest is treated is what determines if the guest would come back to that particular hotel. So, the work of the waiter is to give an experience that is so outstanding that the guest wants to come again and again.

So, in this scenario, you will discover this is different from the way we have perceived waiting on God as a channel to receiving from God. The waiter who waits on you at the restaurant or hotel isn’t doing so for you to give anything but with one sole aim; ensuring your optimum satisfaction. And that is the exact true meaning of waiting. A waiter never grumbles at the demand of the guest. The waiter is ready to serve the guest to the best of ability. And when the guest is so pleased, sometimes there is a gift for the waiter, however the sole aim of waiting on the guest excellently isn’t for the gift.

Now let’s flip through to you, the believer. How are you waiting on God? To wait on God is not about those moments you needed answers to the issues going on in your life; it is those daily moment of seeking what the Father wants you to do to please Him. Waiting on God is the totality of our daily living to the glory of God.
David understood this so perfectly that at every point in his journey, he was conscious of the fact that God was with him and his decisions were principally based on God’s laws and a consultation of what the Father wants. That was the secret to his exceptional exemplary life.

If you can live a life of waiting (servicing God daily) then you will live a life of mounting up with wings as eagles, a life where you never get tired or anywhere near depression and you will never faint. This would only happen if you understand and live by what it really means to wait on God.
This would take me to asking you if you are in constant communication with Him? A waiter who doesn’t ask the guest what the guest actually wants at every point in time would not be able to facilitate the satisfaction of the guest. Your channel of communication must be one of continuous communing. So waiting is what I do daily as life of loving God consciously and not what I do when I am pressed for a need. People who live this way do exploit for God seamlessly.

Have you been waiting rightly?
